Lights for night sessions

Anybody have recommendations on lights they like for night sessions? All old threads on this topic have outdated links and whatnot. I've done some searching on Amazon, etc. but it's difficult to tell which lights are quality and the right size to carry in a pad. Rechargeable batteries preferred, folding flat to fit in a pad also a perk.

I posted on a reddit form a while ago for flashlights to see what they recommended in terms of lights.  This is what they recommended. They get SUPER bright.  It is a literal night and day difference.

Kinda pricey but it is the same size as a can of beer, lasts 3 hours on a charge (non-turbo mode), and has rechargeable batteries.  Not to mention, you can buy little camera tri-pods and mount the flashlights to them.  I haven't actually done that but.... you could?

Anyway, you'll need batteries (x4) and a charger.

As for a headlamp, this is what I have and I cannot recommend it enough, it is BONKERS how bright and floody it is.  Which is great when your face is directly in a rock.  You can use the same batteries, and same charger.  (You only need one battery).

If you have a drill battery from a name brand, Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita etc, most of them have a battery powered drop light type tool. Maybe not "fully fold flat" but if you already have these batteries and chargers it is worth looking into!

I'd think something like this would work well.  https://amzn.to/3lQ3zYA

The sony np-f style batteries it uses are easy to pickup cheap and come in multiple watt/hrs

Then get a couple cheap-o table top tripods like this.  https://amzn.to/3brwIVa

I've been using this light for a while now and it is pretty ideal.  Plenty bright and since it has a large rechargeable battery it last many hours on high.  I removed the yellow frame and handle so it is smaller to fit in a backpack.

I've used many different light setups over the years, these are by far the best and most convenient I've used- lightweight, rechargeable batteries, fold flat, inexpensive, etc.

I love my blf q8. It's a workhorse, has a tripod adaptor, and is relatively cheap by r/flashlight's standards. It's great. My only complaint is that the beam has a bit of a hotspot in the center, which can mess with the exposure if you want to record videos. I put diffuser tape on the lens to soften it a bit but the hotspot still comes through.

These are some others that I looked at but don't have

Sofirn sp36. It's basically the same as the blf q8 but you trade the tripod adaptor for integrated charging

Emisar d18. Smaller, brighter, but maybe doesn't run as long? Not sure. Might not have the hotspot

Fireflies ROT66 Gen II. Has a tripod mount. Looks like gen II really stepped it up

Milwaukee has a superb battery flood light. Heavier but provides the best light for a prolonged period of time. Been using mine for a few years now and I love it.

How do you get those send temps, brah?! When it's 100 during the day here in Vegas I'm trying to sneak in a few sweaty night sessions and whatnot.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I went with a pair of those cheaper lights from Amazon for now. If they turn out to be not great I'll try out the more reputable brands suggested here.

For years I just brought my MTB Lights (Light & Motion 2000Lumen & 500 lumen), but they are expensve and  wouldn't have purchased them directly for Bouldering.

I realized I already had several Dewalt 20V batteries so I purchased this gem, and it's been perfect!
