Leavenworth Camping

Any recommendations on Leavenworth camping? We were going to go up for a couple days of bouldering but it looked like the USFS campgrounds are closed due to the pandemic. Is that correct? Any other ideas?

Don't know were your information came from but usfs website shows that icicle canyon campgrounds are open: fs.usda.gov/recmain/okawen/…. We stayed at several campgrounds in July and it was 'business as usual'. If you search MP forum for 'Leavenworth camping' you will find plenty of information about campgrounds / free camping options.

Campgrounds are definitely open, you might have a hard time finding any open spots depending on the time of the week you go but there are plenty of FCFS spots to be had if you don't mind looking around.

Campground are most likely going to be full.  Lots of people getting into camping this year.  There are a ton of bum spots along Icicle creek if you have the set up for it.  The climber parking lot near Duty Dome has been popular lately.
