I love my La Sportiva TX2's. They're light, have decent support, and good sticky rubber. They lash together with integrated bungees for clippling to a pack/harness.

Have also used the Evolv Cruzers. Those are lighter, and more compact, but much less supportive. I wound up not liking them for actual approaches, and used them for routesetting in the gym instead.

Apparently the new Guide tennies suck big time (weak glue, no gusseted tongue, different padding etc...)

My personal favorite is the Scarpa Mescalito, you may want to give it a try, if like me you have feet on the wider side, if you have narrower feet go with La Sportiva TX4.

The new tennies do indeed suck big time. Go lasportiva and you will be satisfied

Sportiva TX4 or the Garmont Dragontail MNT if you want something with a stiffer sole.

3rd pair of Scarpa Crux and they are excellent. I'll be buying a 4th. I've had LaSp TX3,4 and Five Ten Guides and the other more burly ones and the Cruxes win, big.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
