Cracked Metolius Climbing Holds

I purchased a 40 pack of Metolius climbing holds recently, and they have been on my 45 degree home wall for about a month. I have so far had 3 holds crack to the point where I needed to take them off the wall and multiple holds that simply cannot be tightened on enough. The bolt begins to bury itself into the plastic of the hold before the hold stops spinning. For context its standard, un-painted plywood and I am using a roughly 6 inch socket head ratchet to do the final tightening, I am not cranking on it particularly hard. Is this a normal problem to have? I also have some element and atomix holds that I have been doing the same thing with that I have had no problems with at all. It has just been the metolius holds with this problem.

I also broke one recently. I didn't bother contacting them, but I suspect that they might be helpful if you do.

put in a small wood screw next to each hold to stop them from rotating

I had two jugs from a 5-pack of jugs that just keep screwing in until they cracked. The material is super soft, which I think is causing it. I called them and they asked for pictures and sent a replacement right away. Super good customer service.

Are you using an impact driver at home? I've found that the cheaper holds like to go in by hand.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
