best resoles??

Looking for recommendations on good places to get a resole. In the past I went to someone who seemed to use rubber quite different (more aggressive) than what was on my original shoe and I didn’t love it. If you could mention what makes your place good it would mean a ton!! Price and time are certainly factors but the QUALITY of the resole matters by far the most to me!

Onsight Resoles!  Ian does great work!  He's already resoled three pairs for me, and I have no intention of looking elsewhere!

I wonder if Alf still does mobile resoles

Rock and resole in Boulder, CO have been my go-to resoler's. I sent them 2 pairs of shoes(Some TC pros and Mythos) and got both back a week and a half later with shipping. Those cobblers know what they're doing. And the do it well and quickly!

I've used Peach Cobbler Resole for the last 4 or 5 resoles/rands. They do an awesome job with a fast turn around time, I send two pair to them in Jan and turn around time was 4-5 days.

Obviously I've used my shoes a bunch since then, but you can still tell that they did a wicked good job on the resole/rands. Wish I had pics from when I had just gotten them back, edges were sharp

If you live in Denver must go to rock and resole. They always do a fantastic job, always.

They took 2 months on the last pair I sent them, but they have done a fantastic job every time.

I have had really awesome luck with The Rubber Room Resoles. Tony does a really good job at re-skinning your shoes, and he won't re-sole a basket case to make a buck.

Positive Resoles also has done good work for me in the past...

Has anyone tried out Unparallel for resoling?

Yosemite Bum tends to have solid prices and shorter turnaround than Rock and Resole, but I've had some touch-and-go customer service there. I talked to one person on the phone who assured me they could turn around my shoes in 5 business days in advance of a trip to the valley; when I got there to drop them off the guy at the counter assured me that timeframe was completely impossible. However, I've been impressed with the job they do on the resoles themselves.

That being said, the phone number to Rock and Resole is (303) 440-0414

I had a really bad experience at Tahoe gripworks, I would avoid if possible.  I sent in a pair of TC pro's, and they came back with a crumple in the soles of both feet in the toebox, reducing their size and making them unclimbable. My friends were sending in a bunch of shoes, so I figured I'd give this place another chance. Of the four shoes we sent in, Chris couldn't resole one of them and the other pair, a brand new pair of Oatkis, he took the sole off, poked a pencil through, then tried to throw them away. Understandably, some shoes are beyond repair, but most resolers will send the shoe back, not destroy them and throw them away.

I recommend going with Yosemite bum or Rubber room, both of whom I've been getting high quality resoles from for years.

Tbh Tahoe Gripworks has been the best resoler I've ever dealt with. Impeccable craftsmanship, great communication, and actually gets the shoes back to you within a communicated timeline (unlike others, *cough cough* rubber room)

Agree with above post, do you have any photos? Are you sure you didn't use a different resoler?

Yeah I heard from friends too that Gripworks was good! Unfortunately, both times didn't work out for me. Working with him now to try and get a warranty replacement of these tc pros, but sad times with the foot crinkle.

Positive Resole in JT is really good. Turn around is the typical almost 2 months but I really like them.

Does rock and resole or any other have a discount for sending in multiple pairs? I have 5 I want resoled

I don’t live in NH anymore. I’ve been to a few local ones and haven’t loved the outcome

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
