Looking for someone to go climbing with me at the obed and show me how to climb. It would be my first time, I'm pretty sure I have all the gear. I just need someone to take me out and show me the right way the first time so I know what I'm doing and I'm safe. Thank you. Also I will belay you for as long as you want lol.

Welcome to the community! This could very well be the start of a life-long journey of excitement and memorable experiences. If you haven't already, try to familiarize yourself with the various systems. I'd recommend getting yourself a copy of 'The Freedom of the Hills' and familiarizing yourself with the stuff it teaches. Even the self-rescue stuff, you probably won't ever use it, but it bodes well for your confidence knowing you can get yourself or your partner out of a sticky situation. Also, start small, I look back on my former years and almost shudder at some of the stupid shit I did. I was eager to climb, but didn't have any experience so I just went out with some friends and 'figured it out'. I absolutely wouldn't recommend you doing that, we could have gotten in a bad spot really easily.  I'd suggest starting at your local climbing gym, It will build your base in a relatively risk-free environment and you'll meet other climbers in your area. After you've become better with general strength and footwork from bouldering, sign up for a lead class. They'll teach you how to lead-climb while avoiding Z-clipping(pretty much only happens in the gym), back clipping and you'll learn how to catch a lead fall. After you feel comfortable inside, then move outside to some sport routes. From there you'll have a good foundation to begin trad and ice climbing. But enjoy your progression, don't rush into it, relish the journey.

Consider hiring a guide for a day when it’s safe to do so. Paying someone to teach you means you’ll actually learn what you want to learn. It’s a worthy investment and way faster.
