I've been going through climbing pants super quickly when scrambling and climbing a lot. Any recommendations? I'd love something that looks like my favorite carhartts but stretches.

I had some dickies that were very similar to carhartts but stretched a little, were pretty cheap too.

wranglers are as cheap as they are stretchy.

I've had good luck with the OR Wadi Rum pants, only pair of pants that survived my climbing and field work season last year without major damage. My other two pants aren't looking so great, Vedauwoo and barbwire maybe aren't friendly to clothing.

A buddy of mine had a pair that he wrecked in Joshua Tree quickly though. So mixed review? I think their great and unlike all my other pants they've remained free of holes and rips so far.

Check our Wear Foehn
I normally go through a few pairs of pants working in Joshua Tree, but the Nelson’s  have held up to a couple seasons of climbing

I second the Wrangler Outdoor products, they've held up to a lot of off trail bushwhacking and are made from the same stretchy fabric as Prana for a fraction of the price. About  $21 at Walmart.

For general climbing I really like the E9 pants, you can check them here shope9.com/collections/mens…;

Rab Torque. Super durable but are not light weight and super breathable like some listed here. They are super stretchy though.

Wrangler Outdoor. Holds up to chimney abuse better than some pairs of jeans I've climbed in.

Yeah Dickies make a great stretchable carpenter pant that is my main go-to. I'll never spend more than $30 on a pair of climbing pants, they just wear out too quickly.

Marmot Scree. Thick stretchy soft shell pants. If you have pets don’t buy Stretch Zion

If your climbing a lot it don’t matter, they are gonna blow. I stopped buying climbing brand pants and started going to good will.

A patch kit will do you wonders as well.

Like mentioned above, Kuhls are great. The issue is with granite, I've had it slice right through my pants but I just go to REI and get that material to patch em up.

These aren't climbing specific pants but they are my go-to pants. Super durable, breathable, and flexible.

Not gonna lie, I don't think many of the models on that site could actually climb 5.11. I think that nowadays "tactical" just means "mildly overweight dudes who wear too-tight tshirts."

I dont think 5.11 means the same thing in that realm.

*EDIT* after looking it up, it actually does. I figured it was some sort of reference to law enforcement or military.

you forgot: "along with the velcro patch hat, assaulter boots, and MOLLE day pack." all of which they need to wear/carry at Disney world with their kids cause shit is gonna go down.... actual military experience maybe a week before they developed shin splints at basic training and got chaptered.  #tacticool

Seconding Foehn - I have a few pairs and they feel burly as hell. Have held up to OW thrashing in J Tree. Also stylish as hell.
