What’s on your harness when you climb? I’m partial to dragons, but there are so many personal reasons to choose a type of cam that I see people mixing and matching.

My first cams (still have them) are the Wired Bliss TCUs.  30 years now.  Love them them and love them today.

I am partial to Black Diamond ULs and Totems.  I like the new tech.

Totems for a double rack. BD for the creek when I need lots.

Totems, followed by the latest generation of Wild Country Friends.

If I'm climbing slick rock such as limestone then the latest generation of DMM Dragons

Personally,
I'm not a fan of totems,
In my opinion,
The don't feel like they have that wide of a range, and the grooves on the heads are a little finicky on lead, sure if your used to them or on aid, the grip is nice
There a little big and bulky, esp the trigger

Not a fan either of the new cams with no thumb loops. ..there hard for me to grab and less stable in your hand .  Imo.

I do love my metolius mastercams though. Trigger action is nice, the cams feel strong and beefy but still light enough..nice range

Black totems. Only that. Like 12 back totems get me to the top of Mount Everest.

No shit though, I like totems. They just sit well in most cracks, and I feel I have an easier time setting them right then most others. The ergonomics is a little different but now I'm used to it and really like them. Long terms I would move to mostly have totems and get ride of my powercams. I have a few BDs as well, and I would be interested in trying out the BD Z4 that just came out/will come out. I don't know about the price, so maybe I'll just settle for a single one to try out, but conceptually I really like their thinking on that.

Then nuts. Always have some nuts. I don't always place them, but I'm trying to place them instead of cams whenever possible & reasonable (e.g. not a crazy ackward position, pumped out, good nut placements).

Let's see what's something sarcastic I can reply with ?

No reason to bring passive pro into the discussion bro

You def ain't getting up mount Everest with just 12 totems. Guaranteed. Esp this season .

Your grammar is wrong for " long terms "
Should just be "long term , "

You spelled get rid of , get "ride" of.  Hahahaha

thanks for trying to dis regard my opinion on totems bc you don't agree but I'm a rare person who speaks against the crowd  and gave my honest opinion about totems

( Instinctually I like being different , if everyone loves something so much, im gunna be the guy to have doubts and find a reason to not like)

Double rack of Totems with triples from yellow to black.  BD C4's #3 and up as needed.
Master Cams fill in as needed.

That's cool I just don't know what type of dirt bag cheap climber can afford a double rack of totems  ?

What would be the best starter rack? Should I just call rocknresole and ask them?

Totems
DMM Dragonfly
DMM Dragons
BD cam lineup
WC Friends
Kailas cam lineup

I hate Metolius cams, they feel so stuff and are to small for my large hands.

+1 for older thumb loop mastercams up to red. Then C4 after that on up.
Totems are good, but ware out quickly.

WC > BD lighter and no gaps between sizes.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
