Anyone looking to sell their Soloist or knows of a site that currently has one on offer?

Someone saw a Huber video, ehh?

I have seen a bit of the Huber vids (but def not a soloist specific one that makes me want one so wouldn't know which one you're referencing) but I was actually more interested in trying out the soloist after having done a bit of lead soloing with grigri (backed up) and was wondering how a soloist would fair (after having a Brit recommend it to me instead of seeing a huber video!).

What's the going rate these days?

I would def check it the Facebook group, Rope Solo Climbing. Lots of info and the soloist is def not a highly recommended device/method from all the people there

Don't fall anyway but upright/vertical, super scary feeling to start dropping/sliding down the rope when you let go of the rock on the Soloist. I climbed a few pitches solo top rope with one then shelved it for good. Microtrax/grigri combo one hundred percent over soloist. An definitely second the advice to peruse the FB group Rope Solo Climbing for further rational to avoid the Soloist. Also, this is part one of three of the articles Andy Kirkpatrick wrote, but it is a great, quick summary of the different devices for roped solo climbing: https://www.andy-kirkpatrick.com/blog/view/rope_soloing_101_part_1

Edit: there is probably multiple threads on MP too, happy to further discuss pros/cons of this and other solo devices, but should move conversation to a different forum on MP.

I'm curious to find out. I'll only pay fair price I guess

I'm in that group. Soloist is probably second or third (close with the Grigri) for preferred devices. I have a grigri, and am not willing to pay $ 1000 for a Silent Partner.

I'm looking for a lead soloing device. Don't need a soloist for TR.

I use a Wild Country Revo for LRS (I usually back it up with knots.) . I also want to get my hands on an Edelrid Eddy. The Revo is super smooth, I haven't taken any major falls on it yet though. I hear great reviews on the Eddy, but you need to match it with the right rope. Healyj has been using the Eddy for some time and swears by it.

Never used the soloist though.
