Dogs at LRC

Lately I have been seeing a lot of dogs at LRC and wondering where this thought process is coming from? On the door to the clubhouse in big letters is a sign saying "NO DOGS". Would be pretty stupid for one of the best boulder fields in the Southeast to get shut down due to people blatantly ignoring the rules and some pissed off golfer complaining.

Probably a good job for the local admin. to update the page with proper rules. Have you messaged them yet?

Most of the dogs you see at LRC are just local neighborhood dogs. They do not belong to climbers, theres three regulars I can think of off the top of my head. I have only seen one climber there this season with a dog and I asked him about it. He called ahead and the people that run the golf course said he was cool to bring the pooch. People get really self righteous about what other people are doing without talking to them about it. Also those folks make a shit ton of money from climbers and likely wont be closing the gates anytime soon.

I'm in the "No dogs at crags" camp.  So thank you.
