It’s pretty nice. Only open to members as of now. I do not know the exact square footage but 15000 is about right, the lead walls are 55 feet tall, which is nice too. Bouldering is 16 feet tall and there is larger kids area as well. Also a full speed wall too.
I recently moved to Modesto for the summer and have been climbing at this gym for the past week. I came from Berkeley Ironworks and before that was at Pacific Edge in Santa Cruz. I HIGHLY recommend this gym to anyone in the central valley as it is a very modern facility that appears to serve the diverse needs of the growing climbing community around here. At touchstone gyms, I project around v8 & 5.13a which correlates with the setting at Alpine. The only general drawbacks that come to mind right now are lack of harder routes (>v9/5.13) for crushers and a dialed in hangboarding section. The former seems understandable since I have not seen too many strong climbers there and the v9 problems have little to no chalk on the holds.
