Prescription Glacier Glasses?

I wear glasses and only glasses. The only time I will wear contacts is if I need to wear other eyewear like goggles or glacier glasses. I hate getting up extra early on a glacier JUST to put my contacts in.

Anyone know where I can get prescription lenses with spectron 4 for my Julbo Explorers? Any other solutions? Any budget options?

just add eye drops once in a while and you're good to go!

I got Julbos made with prescriptions thru opticsplanet.com Just specify  less than 10% visible transmission lenses. You might be able to send glacier frames to have prescription lenses made at a place like lensable..

SportRX.com. They are fantastic!! I have a very tricky prescription and they made me awesome Jublo Chams.

Just received my pair yesterday (and could even use my HSA to pay for them...so free....sort of). You can get them directly from julbousa. No need to involve another company.

Opticus did a great job for me!

So do you all carry an extra set of (normal) glasses in order to climb in low light?  Or just not wear glasses at all for the alpine start since it's dark anyway?

For reference, I can't drive without glasses but I could probably climb 5.fun -- I think I'm somewhere around  20/140 maybe?

Yes.  My ability to move in uneven terrain would be completely hindered without my glasses... not an acceptable situation for me.  As long as I can see (thanks to glasses/glacier glasses/headlamp), I can get myself out of pretty serious situations.

+1 for Opticus. They are super helpful and really know their stuff.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
