Hi! We have a husky and he will need shade for when we are there. What are the best campsite for that?

The ones with trees ...

You can research it yourself. Go to the reservation site there are little pictures of each site: https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/city-of-rock-national-reserve/ID/315044/campsites?pageNumber=1&availStartDate=2020-01-01

Note the little doggy symbol - dog friendly sites.

The previous link was dead for me. Try this: https://idahostateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/city-of-rocks-national-reserve/r/campsiteSearch.do?search=site&page=siteresult&contractCode=ID&parkId=315044

Looking at the google satellite map is also a good idea as you can see how much vegetation is around each campsite. Don't forget your pups paws are sensitive and need to be protected on hot days.

Best campsite = left at home. Ideally with access to your cooled home.

If they dig to get cool, leave them at home. At least during summer

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
