Freely available climber-specific yoga?

My wonderful lady friend recently introduced me to yoga. I finally understand why climbers like it so much. I think it has great potential to improve my climbing. So as a neophyte to the discipline, I’m looking for some videos that I could put on in my living room.

Not necessarily climbing specific, but I've had good luck with Www.doyogawithme.com . Navigation can be a bit weird so I mainly stick to the "most popular classes" list. |

Climbing is yoga. |

I enjoy "30 minute Yoga for Rock Climbers" by YouTube user 'Yoga with Kassandra'. It's not too long, the postures are good, and it spends just the right amount of time focusing on breathing. |

Chris Jones wrote: My collection of favorite yoga and stretching vidsYou do all of these? Just askin...I'm told I need to stretch and/or yoga in an effort to hang on to what little still bends. All that other crap too, lose weight, eat right, exercise, strength training....sheesh. Or just give up, get fat, and not walk unassisted, let alone climb. Wa. Hoo. EDIT to add, anyone recommend any particular one for lower body stretching and strength, mixed with general body work? I may need an instructor to help me, at some point. Fairly messed up, but pretty motivated to fight hard, see what I can do, and hopefully hang on as long as I can. Best, Helen |

These two are linked to in a couple of the Uphill Athlete climbing training plans: Longer routine, similar to the previous two |

huh that sounds interesting, I only recently started rock climbing but I have done yoga before. I wonder how they are going to combine. I have been a fan of yoga for a while and it is actually an amazing activity. I have started it because I wanted to learn how to meditate and just be a calmer person in general as well as get a little bit in shape. I have been to many different yoga instructors and I have tried many different styles of yoga. It has been an amazing experience and i has thought me a lot. One of the best things I did though was go on a yoga retreat. It kind of helped me immerse fully in the mentality of a yogi so to speak. There were a lot of options but I decided to go on a short retreat in Costa Rica; if you guys are interested you can check it here: https://yogapractice.com/yoga/top-10-yoga-retreats-in-costa-rica It was an amazing experience. I think that if you guys are interested in something like that you should definitely give it a thought. |

Megan Sprague wrote: Yoga with Adriene - she has TONS of content including a “yoga for climbers” video. +1 for YWA. Variety of intensity, super nice vibe. I've been going through a bunch of those. In all fairness, I haven't tried a lot of others. I just started out with her channel and like it, so I don't (yet) feel the need to venture out there. |

Community Yoga with leva Luna - mostly geared toward climbers - many nice settings. |

Try www.glo.com. Their navigation is awesome and you can search and filter 4000 classes to dial in ability, time, and body parts. It’s amazing and I highly recommend! |
