Stone Fort good for bouldering alone?

I'm going to be in Chattanooga with my non-climbing boyfriend for the week after Christmas and wanted to hit up Stone Fort. Is there much that's accessible with two pads and no spotter? Alternatively, is it popular and crowded enough that I should expect to find plenty of people there on any nice winter day?

IMO Stone Fort is an ideal place to go alone since many problems have flat landings, there are plenty of low problems, and you are almost certain to find partners there.

Both things are true!  I spent three days bouldering there on my own in October with a single old, thin pad.  Lots of safe choices and I don't exactly crush - I was climbing in the V0 to V2 range.  At the same time, there were lots of other climbers there I could have joined in with had I felt nervous about bouldering on my own.  I expect that sunny winter days will draw a crowd.  Hard to beat for quality problems and easy access.  Friendly folks at the clubhouse, and the daily fee is good value.

Great, thanks! That’s just what I was hoping to hear.

No issues bouldering alone there, used to do it all the time. Usually not an issue to find a spotter if needed too. Try out the Wax Museum solo, that will get your senses heightened...

Any idea what the holiday hours are at Stone Fort/Golf Club?

I'll be at Stone Fort tomorrow with 3 pads if you want to meet up, PM me.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
