Hey-going to be in Zion for a couple days and wondering about beta for lambs knoll for easy winter canyoneering. Can’t really get much info on the area online. Is the route easy to find-a lot of route finding involved? Etc. Ideally I’d like to take my daughter to canyoneer there-or any other local, easy canyoneering route.
Thanks!!

Lambs Knoll doesn't sound like much of a canyon route. prob why there isn't much info about it, like compared to Zion's short easy classics that travel down actual canyons. seems just a convenient spot for guiding companies to conduct their training courses for beginner clients, with raps set up to drop down to the exit of a canyon. key info seems to be raps of 60-70 ft according to: Greater Zion on Lambs Knoll
Lambs Knoll is not really canyoneering. It offers some scrambling and bolted anchors for rappelling in some mini slot features. Guiding is not allowed within the park, and because it lies conveniently right outside the border the guide services have made it their sacrificial lamb. You could go up there to play around with a rope and no info and not get into trouble. It would be hard to get lost. The scenery is nice.
That said, I would be worried about snow in winter, and right now particularly. The park got a bunch recently and I doubt it has melted off there, especially in the little slots the "canyoneering" routes follow on the north side.
Don't worry too much about beta as there are so many options with bolts and anchors everywhere so there are many many options. First time there we followed some people who had been there before but after that we had fun just trying the many different options. Everything is so short you can easily run laps and try out different options.
