Differences in fit for unisex vs women's LS Nepal Cube GTX?

What are the differences in fit between the unisex and women's versions of the La Sportiva Nepal Cube GTX, if any?

I've been using the unisex version for years, and it's the best fit I've found thus far for my finicky feet. However, the overall volume, especially in the heel has always been a bit too much, causing more chafing and heel lift than ideal. I recently discovered that La Sportiva has since released a women's version. The shoe is not in stock in any of the brick-and-mortar stores around me, so I'm hoping to glean some insight here before blindly ordering online.

La Sportiva has pretty good customer service - I’m sure they would be best placed to answer this.

The difference is huge! Any boot that claims unisex is actually modelled for a men's foot size. Men have wider heels than women so as you said you'll get horrible heel lift and probably blistering/hot spots. I'm dealing with this right now on the Sportiva G2SM, which only comes in a men's size. I've had to add tons of shims and butterfly pads to get the correct fit around my heels.  I have the women's Nepal and it fits perfectly.

Do yourself a favor and get the women's boot. Your feet will thank you. And they've had a women's version of the Nepal for years.

Thanks for the responses everyone -- I took advantage of sales and reward points to buy a pair. Will see how they fit when they arrive in a few days.

To clarify, by years, I meant six years. I'm pretty sure the women's version was not out back then because La Sportiva said they didn't have one when I contacted them.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
