Anyone has any suggestions? I need an orthopedic consultation to see what’s the issue and how to remedy it. Thanks

This guy is Denver so may be further than you wish but I highly recommend him:

Dr. Hatzidakis.

Last year, I went to a surgeon, for my left shoulder, who had done work on my right shoulder nine years prior.  That guy looked at the x-ray of my left shoulder and said, "I am not the guy to work on this one."  He called Dr. Hatzidakis and discussed it with him.  I ended up going to Dr. Hatzidakis and was happy I did.  He did a partial replacement of my left shoulder (it was a huge mess prior to the surgery).  Hatzidakis is super picky about recovery but it is worth it.  When I was in physical therapy after the surgery, my therapist said that he sees patients from several surgeons and the only one that he has never seen a failure from is Dr. Hatzidakis.  He also told me that Hatzidakis gets lots of patients, like me, that are referrals from other surgeons that don't believe they could fix the problem.

I live 1.5 hours drive away from Dr. Hatzidakis but it was worth every bit of that time.  I am 54 now and am climbing harder than I have for 15 years.

I went to see doctor Repine at Boulder med center, he recommended PT and some anti inflammatory meds. Anyone has and recommendations for a good PT around Boulder? Thanks

I went to North Boulder Physical Therapy right in the Boulder Med Center building after both of my rotator cuff surgeries. My PT was named Terry, but I don't remember her last name. Don't know if she's still there. I liked her.

I really like Kevin Cowell at the Climb Clinic - soon to open an office at the new gym in Broomfield. I know he fixes the tweaks of my friends and I and really helped me through a bad hip issue. Until G1 opens he's working out of Louisville.

Another satisfied customer here: Hatzi did my shoulder surgery a few years ago and I'm very happy with it. His PA Rose Christiansen was great too, she was the one I saw on a regular basis. Kudos to a generally well-run office, a real exception to the typically frustrating world of health care.

I would also recommend the PT I went to, Functional Physical Therapy, they used to have offices in both Boulder and Denver.

I second Eric McCarty.  I did a consult with him after dinging my "good" left shoulder in a bike accident and further exacerbating the injury climbing.  My right shoulder had been surgically repaired 20+ years earlier (not by him).  He ordered x-rays for both shoulders as he wanted to see how the rt was holding up, in addition to assessing the left.  He said the right looked great, but ordered an MRI for the left. After reviewing that, he said I could opt for surgery on the left, but that honestly PT would have the same or better outcome with similar or less recovery time.  He wrote me a script for PT and sent me on my way.

The doc said it’s biceps tendinitis which in turn affects the shoulder as well. Due to work schedule, insurance, fact that at the moment my family is on one car and proximity of PT I had to give a shot to Alta PT and pilates on Baseline and 30th.  Fingers crossed that PT and meds doc prescribed will take care of it. Thanks all for the suggestions.
