Anyone have experience with either? Looking for something that has full zip.
I think Black Diamond stopped making the Stance pant.

I have the Rab photons and love them. took them up to alaska this year and theyve been used in winter stuff in the cascades. they have a good array of pockets and reinforced knees/butt, and they articulate well (my old nano puffs lacked in this category) and the photons have 100g of primaloft vs the compressors 80. i found the zippers to be glove friendly as well and didn't snag. i cant speak to much to the direct comparison to the stance or compressor, but i've been very happy with my purchase.

I can't offer a comparison or even a detailed review, but I just got a pair of Compressor pants from that awesome Alpenglow sale in the mail this morning. Tried them on and first impression is  they seem like very nice pants. Side zippers fully separate and the waist is easy to adjust. Quality seems excellent.

My girlfriend uses the Rab for everything from winter camping, to Fall climbing trips. I use the Compressors for the same. The Compressors might be a tad burlier. Temp. ratings are approx. the same. I put a toggle on the Compressors waist cinch, as it is very easy to tie an untieable slipknot in the thin cord.

anybody who can compare the Rab Photon to the BD stance pants? Can get both for approx the same price. Are there big differences in either fit or warmth? Thnx

IMHO, the BD pants are way too bulky and I do not like them for “active” belay pants.  They are good for lounging and winter camping trips tho.

I've had the Rab Photon for the last 4 years. Great pant.

I’ve used the Rab photon extensively and have been very happy with it.  It has a great feature set.

Arcteryx has their Nuclei pants now listed on the website: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/shop/mens/nuclei-pant

My understanding is that the coreloft continuous is the most durable of the synthetic insulation but comes at a packability cost. Many other options all use primaloft which tends to pack out faster but is more compressible.

Patagonia just released the DAS Light Pants this season; 65 grams of synthetic PlumaFill insulation, overall weight of 344 grams in a men's large.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
