Ao I've read a few route descriptions that have weirdly named gear.
For example, smashmouth says the final crux is protected by a bristle? Is that gear or a cactus?
Another example, infrared in moab says rack up sliders. Are those ball nuts?
Can we get a thread for all the weird names out there for gear?

Even if sliders = balls nuts, let's not all act like ball nuts is a normal thing to say. Also, my Friends are usually humanoid and pay for gas, but maybe that's just me.

I've often chuckled at the carabiner by Camp called the Dyon. It's like, you're gonna dyon this carabiner! Seems like a poor choice of name for climbing equipment. I realize that Camp is an Italian company and there might be things lost in translation, but IMHO it's still a strange name for a carabiner.

All the Send Climbing knee bar pads have very funny descriptions. "The MINI STRAP-ON SLIM knee pad is designed with THINNER rubber and THINNER neoprene for an ultralight, ultra low profile, high performance kneepad with increased sensitivity for those who want a little less bulk." Like a mix of a strap on review and condom review. The slip on knee pad is called the Wizard's Sleeve, look that one up on Urban Dictionary
