Petzl Rollclip as part of crevasse rescue set up?

I'm curious if anyone is using the Petzl Rollclip as part of their crevasse rescue set up.

It seems like it might be a nice bit of gear to carry along for setting up emergency hauling systems.
Having one could eliminate carrying an extra pulley.

Petzl says the pulley is rated at 85% efficient (which I take with a grain of salt, but anything close to that would be pretty good.)

(And, please no one bother mentioning the DMM revolver carabiner, I have tested with those, and they are pretty much crap for serious hauling.)

A lightweight locker ~42gram + Petzl partner at 56gram is lighter, more efficient and more versatile

On a similar note, do people have the jag traxion and a twin pulley to create a 4:1 (5:1?) instead of the micro trax & partner? Additionally seems like it’d be nice to replace the tribloc with a petzl basic or ascender, despite the weight.

I tend to carry a pulley or even 2 when in a small party and potentially needing to employ a lot of advantage in a rescue situation. I’m with SinRopa here. I would carry that thing like I carry a pulley, meaning reserved for when I need a pulley. So it wouldn’t really save me carrying another locker. My set ups typically don’t call for a locker on the pulley either so the locking feature may be redundant.

Are you really going to throw that thing anywhere you’re not using it as a pulley? If not it isn’t very multi-purpose.

I don't know that having one of those to eliminate a pulley makes sense, it weighs 2x more than most pulleys.

While it might be "simpler" to have an all-in-one unit, the lack of versatility and weight penalty isn't appealing.

A spoc + biner would weigh less than this.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
