Good enough for Chris Sharma!

It's not the shoe, it's the climber.

Meaning: anything is good enough for Chris Sharma, but your results may vary. ;)

Paul Robinson has worn Five Ten, La Sportiva, and currently Evolv ... and he's climbed V15 in all three.

And Evolv shoes are great for people like myself with wide, high-volume feet.  Even Five Ten's "wider" shoes like the new Quantums are too narrow for me.

Wrong Chris Sharma is with Tenaya now

I think ever since evolv got rid of the pontis and the original shaman they really went down hill.

The replacement Shaman was no good for me unfortunately Where as the original shaman is still my favorite shoe of all time And can be resoled up to five times before it dies.

I picked up a pair of the new Supras when I tried them on they felt like they fit perfect but they don’t climb vary well stinks.

Speaking of stinks evolve used to have an era where people would complain that their shoes smelled really bad that’s when their shoes were the best After they fixed that the quality went way down.

The Oracle seems like the only decent shoes they make anymore.

Lol, I didn't know. Tenayas are pretty damn good. Evolv was always my "mid-grade" shoe, good performance for the price.

I’ve climbed in two out of those three and I’ve never climbed past V6. I guess I have to try the Evolvs.

I loved the evolv bandits for a stretch there. Just an all around shoe that didn't suck or excel but it seemed to get the job done. Yosemitebums resoles, like, all the time.

Then I woke up and smelled the la sportiva.

Disagree. I have several pairs of the Addicts (different sizes for different needs and doubles in some sizing) and they last and last. I've gotten one pair resoled about 3 times now. The Addicts are awesome.

Just like any shoe it's all about fit. Five Ten Mocs are a solid shoe and I wore them for a while, but the Addicts just fit my feet better. Doesn't make it a better shoe, just a better shoe option for me. LaSpo and other brands make great shoes, they just don't fit me as well.

Bonus: they let me order them in split sizes (e.g. a left foot size 13 and right foot size 13.5) for my weird feet. Other brands won't do that for me.

Split sizing is no longer I hear :(

Daniel Woods rocks Evolv shoes now

No complaints with Evolv. The Oracle is a top performer for me for sport routes, aggro for boulders. 0 quality issues and they lace up system is better than sportiva.

I love the Addicts as well, super comfy. I just got my first pair and I am hooked

However, the General has the most bizarre sizing I have seen... not stoked on those

I have two pairs of nexxos that I love. One pair is getting it's second resole right now and when I get them back I will resole the others. Favorite shoes I have used to date. They do smell absolutely horrific though.

Evolvs fit my feet better than any other brand.  I have had some minor quality issues with several different pairs, but no worse than quality issues I've had with both sportiva and 5.10, so I can't complain too much.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
