I can’t say for certain since I have never camped at the established camping at the leap but there is not a ton of sites and it is definitely busy on weekends.
I’d say give it a try if that doesn’t work out camp at the Phantom Spires it’s free.

yeah i agree, not a lot of sites, and i think the cost went up this year or last as well. its definitely a good bit more money than i would be willing to pay to stay at a campground. there is another campground a little further east that is paid as well, but there is also tons of free camping all around that is really nice and quiet. I always just make sure to get up early to get a parking space (especially on weekends) and use the toilets there

I think it’s is 16 to camp and 8 to park. The parking is a rip off.

for some reason i thought it was more like 30, 16 is reasonable. i agree with the parking, but a national parks pass will allow you to park with no additional fee.

There is no one there to take payment or look at your national park pass. So how does that work.

Your national parks pass won't work at some campgrounds, depending on the agreement between the Forest Service and the concessionaire (if there is one) operating the campground. Don't know about the LL campground. Maybe you are more familiar.

My guess is they won’t honor it. But there needs to be some type of yearly pass here. I live fifteen mins from the leap and if they think I should pay 8 bucks every time I wanna park there that’s crazy.

I haven't been there since last year, but when i was there the parks pass was good for day parking but not for the campground. I just put it on my dashboard and went climbing with no problems. l probably did that and climbed there about 5 days last year. Unless I read the sign wrong and just got really lucky hahaha, I wouldn't be too surprised if that was the case.
