Breaking in climbing shoes

I own a pair of Evolv Agros and need advice on breaking them in quickly. It is my understanding that due to the fact the shoe is basically a huge slab of rubber, most techniques do not work. Other than climbing, what are ways to break them in?

Just wear them, mine got way more comfortable after about 15 minutes of use, great shoes...

What is your expectation how a shoe should feel/perform when “broken in?”

Provided you chose correct shoe last for your foot, and the correct shoe size, this might work -
Start wearing shoes, weight off - read a book, watch "Walking Dead", or John Longs video Basic Rockclimbing
Sitting in the direct sun might heat up the rubber and make it adjust a little easier.
Some believe that standing in a hot shower will help, but I would not do that in 165 aggressive shoes.

All that said, Agros have synthetic uppers. If you are too much off in terms of sizing they might be too painful until nerve endings die off.

Throw them as hard as you can at a wall. Like 20x plus. Make sure to switch arms though, I don't want you to hurt your rotator cuff then you can't climb lol!  Anyways works everytime for me.

Taking a torch to the shoes while wearing them can help. Wet them down first though.

Yea, this^. I don't know what you are looking for in terms of "breaking in", but I have a good suspicion that the Agros aren't going to do it.

I'm glad things are working out for you, I failed to mention I had sized up a bit on this model and for me I think it obviously sped up the break in time.

Properly sized and fit shoes are cling ready.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
