Breaking in climbing shoes
|
I own a pair of Evolv Agros and need advice on breaking them in quickly. It is my understanding that due to the fact the shoe is basically a huge slab of rubber, most techniques do not work. Other than climbing, what are ways to break them in? |
|
Just wear them, mine got way more comfortable after about 15 minutes of use, great shoes... |

What is your expectation how a shoe should feel/perform when “broken in?” |
|
Provided you chose correct shoe last for your foot, and the correct shoe size, this might work - |

Throw them as hard as you can at a wall. Like 20x plus. Make sure to switch arms though, I don't want you to hurt your rotator cuff then you can't climb lol! Anyways works everytime for me. |

Taking a torch to the shoes while wearing them can help. Wet them down first though. |

I don't know what you are looking for in terms of "breaking in", but I have a good suspicion that the Agros aren't going to do it. |

I'm glad things are working out for you, I failed to mention I had sized up a bit on this model and for me I think it obviously sped up the break in time. |

Properly sized and fit shoes are cling ready. |
