Some friends and I are heading to Yosemite for a backpacking trip (I know, totally lame!) and I am hitting a dead end as far as logistics.
We're planning on camping in the backpacker's camp thursday night, and need to get to the Big Oak Flat trailhead to start the hike on Friday morning. The problem is that the Yosemite Valley-Tuolumne Meadows hikers' bus is not yet running for the season. I can't find any other transportation options that will take us out to Big Oak Flat trailhead in the morning.
I looked at the YARTS lines, but none of them depart the valley until the early evening. Are there any other options that i'm missing? Thanks!

yose has got to be the easiest place in the USA to get picked up. Just take the first ride to the next junction and keep going. Or a sign that says "Tuolumne or Bust"....
Someone cool will stop. :) This used to be the most common thing in the world. Shiny new gear helps as well as hawt chix.
Maybe even Frank.
Or hike...you can pick up the trail from just past el cap.
