Lander Climbing Festival - open to public/worth going?

Hey Wyo-climbers - question for you:

My husband and I will be in Lander during the International Climbers Fest, but only for two days of it so we're not going to buy tickets since we'll miss half of it. Are there events that are open to the general public? Is it worth checking out if not a paying participant?

Thanks!

Yes, there will be things happening at the park. Also Patagonia should have there fix it people there if you own any clothing that needs repair. And the nights at the brewery are fun.

You can go to basically anything except the clinics and the keynote. Though last year many friends without tickets were able to go to the keynote. The art fair is highly recommended.

What else are you going to do? Might as well hit the festival. Usually some good eats, cool folks, and cold beer. I don't know about you but thats about all I could ask for! Look at the schedule online. Have fun!

Hi Meghan, I'm a member of the organization that puts on the ICF. We try to make sure that the festival is still fun for non-ticket holders and the general public. Events like the art crawl, parties at the lander bar with live music, and the trade fair are open to anyone.

However, non-ticket holders dont get entry to some of our most popular events like the keynote speakers series, film fest, boulder bash etc. Clinics are also exclusive, as are comps, games, raffles.

When you combine the events with the free food and beer and gift bag, the ticket cost is a great value. And 100 percent of the money goes to charity to support kids climbing initiatives, local rebolting and such.

We hope you'll come and join us!
