Hey guys, I bought a new Patagonia jacket on ebay like 2 months ago. |
|
Was it a freak gasoline fight accident? |

You might not get a new jacket if they are beyond repair, if this is the case you may get a voucher for the jacket's amount to their online store. |
|
I wish ! |

Patagonia likes to take care of their climber customers, because we help them maintain an image that helps them sell to everyone else. Patagonia gave me a new nano air after a chipmunk or something ate up the sleeve in yosemite. |

I've brought stuff back to them for decades the last response I got on a broken zipper on a really nice pair of ski pants was "well we can get it repaired for you but that will take 4-6 weeks, or you can go to the rack over there and pick out any new pair you want" |
|
My experience with Patagonia warranty. Bought a fleece jacket in 1981. Sometime about 9991 or 1992, the zipper had broken and I took it in to their store to see if it could be replaced for a nominal fee. The clerk took one look at it and said, 'It's under warranty. We will fix, no charge. But it won't be a high priority, give us a week." Zipper was replaced and is still working just fine. |

I've both shipped and brought in-person to a store quite a few items back to Patagonia (some to be replaced and some to be repaired), but I've still yet to have them actually repair something. Even for items that A) a salesperson in the store said could be repaired and B) I said I wanted to keep even if repair was impossible, their default seems to be email me a gift certificate for the value of item or the lowest sale price they've offered it at. So I bet if you sent it into them you'd at least get something. |

the thing is that it was completely my fault. |

The "reasonable charge" for repair is free, in my experience... I'd suggest that you just ask for professional repair. Even if it costs a little (it might be free), it's probably your best option in the long run. There is really no comparison between a professional repair and a gear aid patch. |
|
Just pay them to repair it. I had a dog chew a hole entirely through the hood of my nano air and chew off some of the main zipper. Patagonia fixed it and you can barely tell anything is different than new. They did an amazing job. |
