Best boots for summer glacier travel in the Alps

I'm heading to Chamonix for a few weeks of alpine rock climbing in June and will need to cross glaciers for the approaches. Does anyone have any good boot recs for this specific task? I'm currently looking at the Nepal Evo and the Trango Tower Extremes as I'd like something with automatic crampon compatibility. They may be overkill for this, but I also feel like adding a general purpose mountaineering boot to the quiver wouldn't be so bad.

Thanks!

It all depends on the fit of the boot. I love my Scarpa Mont Blanc Pros, which are auto-crampon compatable. The are stiffer and warmer than the Scarpa Charmoz, but not too warm. I climbed in Cham with my MBPs and, in fact, am heading to Cham tomorrow. Hoping for good weather!

As you are in Oakland I suggest you call Bobcat’s Outdoor in Sacramento. It is the best real climbing shop in Northern California. Tell Gregor what you are looking for and your size and he will often order your size for you to try. He’s the best. Absolutely worth the drive to get to try on different boots or sizes. He carries Scarpa, Sportiva, etc.

Thanks for that information and for letting me know about Bobcat's outdoor. I'll have to check it out.
