Please stop filling the wag bag dispenser boxes in Clear Creek Canyon with your garbage, bagged dog poop, etc. They might look like little trash cans when they are empty, but they are not. Volunteers stock these with wag bags (paid for by the BCC) for your convenience in an effort to keep the human waste at the crags down, but we really didn’t sign up to also carry all of your dog poop out for you.
Thank you for your help!

^ then you expect these people to actually read or not be lazy haha
Spend the money on new canisters. Ones with a super thin slot to pull the bags out and that are locked. Way more effective than a sign.

Oh no. I have been thinking those are for used wag bags. That makes more sense. It was always messy trying to squeeze a full wag bag into the slot.

People are willfully ignorant most of the time. I stopped by the warming hut at the Berthoud pass this weekend and as soon as you get in the sign that says to pack out your trash is right in your face yet the trash bins in there were overflowing with trash.

Found a hand Jammie in the one at the base of the west ridge in eldo the other day, not sure why it couldn’t be placed with a rock on or near the dispenser

Yes, dog owners please resume just leaving bags of dogshit trailside instead of putting in those boxes.

ErikaNW wrote: And putting in the boxes is better.... exactly how? So I can carry it out? Erika: I wasn't suggesting putting doggie poop in the boxes. I said "please resume leaving trailside" which is the opposite of using the boxes. Of course I was being sarcastic and really would prefer dog owners remove their dog's poop. Btw: thank you for your work both in supplying bags and maintaining boxes. I have donated to BCC in the past specifically because of these wag bag stations which I think have a huge positive impact (or in avoiding impact!).

Ha ha - no worries! I read it as a preferable option to leaving trailside. Yeah - just carry your poop (human and canine) out people! Thanks for your contributions to BCC!

Sometimes...dogs are more easily understood than humans. Ugh! Why can not we humans get together on such a good cause like bag dispensers, politics, religion, climate change, etc.?
