Table Rock (Linville) Water Source?
|
Is there a reliable water source at Table Rock if backpacking to the parking lot campground? |
|
None I've found. There's some seepage on the trail into the amphitheatre, but nothing I would rely on without a filter. Hopefully someone else has been more successful... |

There's a Linville Gorge Facebook Group (it's called, "The Linville Gorge Facebook Group") which might be a source of good information. |

This is the best source of info for everything Linville Gorge, highly suggest downloading the linville gorge map in the Avenza app if you're new to the gorge. There are not any good water sources around the table rock camping area, the closest reliable source is just west of table rock itself (the one shown on the lgmaps.org map). |

If you hop on that Linville gorge fb page you'll see a recent post discussing it. |

thanks everybody. this is the first time since 2008 that I wish I had a facebook. we backpacked up to table rock, hiked in all our water and climbing gear, climbed 3,000 ft for our 30th birthdays and backpacked back out. our pee was fairly yellow by the end of it but it all worked out. glad to know about that pipe spring in the future though! |
