Hey - fairly new to outdoor climbing over the last year, and super stoked to go check out Shelf Road. |

Shelf sees little snow compared to the front range and it tends to melt off by the next morning. Though, conditions can go from perfect to hail/rain/clouds out of nowhere this time of year. |

shelf is hot. and snow doesnt stick to the rocks. game on. |

You might have some snow to hike through to get to the crags depending on where you climb, but if you are in the sun it can be t-shirt weather even if temps are in the low 40's. |

The Wunderground Garden Park station has a webcam. The station is located at “Jim likes ranch” which is just a few miles south of Shelf. Often points towards the ground but that’s good for checking snow levels. |

You could also give red canyon cycles in canon city a call- the owner is a climber and i’ve heard him give conditions reports to folks. |
