Looking for a soft boot snowboarding boot that can handle a partially automatic, i.e. some sorta rear clip or lever lock, crampon. Ideally K2 Aspect, but would really consider anything with a hard point in the back. Current boots are 11.5 and muh toesies skim the front, no fun when trying to kick steps, so size 12 is probably the move. I’d also consider the right set of crampons. Cheers.

What boots are these and do they work in snowboard bindings

Check out ThirtyTwo Jones Series boots, have a heel bail for semi-auto crampons. I ride in my mountaineering boots when I know I'll need crampons as my crampons are fully automatic, but a stiffer ride for sure & not quite as nimble as a snowboarding boot.

What kind of mountaineering boots do you have that fit in you SB bindings?

These are La Sportiva Nuptse Double boot size 46/12. With La Sportiva Spectre liners. I have used them with Spark r&D and voile bindings.

Thanks

I have La Sportiva Nepal Cubes, they’re a little skinny for my bindings but I don’t notice. Just tighten up the straps some.

Appreciate the feed back here. Never would have guessed you could run true mountaineering boot in SB bindings. I’m looking more for a snowboard boot that can mountaineer than a mountaineering boot that can snowboard. Something from the Jones family, Fitwell also has some neat stuff.

There's people out there that SB in hardboots...not for everyone though. I prefer a softer snowboard boot as well, but do your research on those snowboard boots that accept crampons, if you like a softer boot too I know some of them can run on the stiff side. Good luck with it!
