I've always bought and sold on here. Are there any advantages to selling on gear trade? Benefits/drawbacks compared to MP?

I prefer MP usually. Geartrade takes a small cut, takes a while to get a check. You'd think they'd figure out a way to credit your PayPal or something. Occasionally you get hosed on MP with challenging buyers/sellers, but most folks are great.

How come I can never get a response to a PM whenever I want to buy something then?

Thomas:  Sometimes when people post hot ticket items, they literally get 5+ messages / comments in the first 5-10 mins.  I assume that this might be the case in your situation as most people don't do the due diligence to follow up with every inquiry.  I'm pretty on top of it to respond to folks, but have also been known to not respond to individuals from time to time.

Do you lowball? Sometimes people think their used stuff is worth as much as new so you're right in offering a fairer amount for used goods but even yesterday I saw someone offer 250$ for an item the seller had already make a huge cut by dropping down to the 450$ range and I'm sure that offer didn't get a response.

I almost always offer the price they are selling for.

The last 5 pms I received through MP ended up in my junk box even though I keep telling outlook that the sender is safe. Maybe your messages aren't getting to them for some reason? I prefer buying and selling on here as opposed to gear trade

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
