MENS “CLIMBING” PANTS
What are some of your guys’s Favorite pants to climb in ? Quite honestly after some wear and tear I don’t see much difference climbing in a pair of levys than I do a dedicated pair of “climbing pants”. That said, I will make one exception with a single pair of black diamond pants. These pants have been absolutely amazing in every aspect other than durability. I also didn’t buy them with the intention of doing construction work in them however for being climbing pants you’d figure they should be a bit more durable. |

Slim, but not too slim, very stretchy. Very light. Great for warm weather. Prana Zions for everything else. |

Scrub bottoms. Light, cool on hot days, warm on cold days with long underwear, can be rolled up to make basically shorts, and, best of all, $10. |
1) Determine your Zion size |

I own about 4 pairs of stretch Zions. Also recently got some E9 pants that are my current favs. |

Eddie Bauer guide pant-better than the Zion by far imo. Better pockets (deeper and bilateral), longer lasting, allows you to use your own belt. 4 way stretch. And lifetime guarantee. Very often on sale for half off. What’s not to like? |
Stretchy jeans from The Gap. I think they cost me like $40 on sale? |
Whatever they're selling at goodwill :) |
OR Ferrosi pants for pretty much everything - can typically find them on sale somewhere and OR seems to have discounts online quite often. |

White Painter's pants and a hand woven hippie belt. Get with the times. |
I've switched to these, $24 and so far held up well: Wrangler Men's Outdoor Stretch Nylon Utility Pants |
Just picked up a pair of these Eddie Bauer pants from Costco. Can't say anything about the durability yet but the fit and the stretchy material is comfortable and moves really well. Also that price of $22 is great. |

I love the Ferrosi material, hate that there's no built in belt. Mine have ended up being work pants b/c of this. I don't want to add a belt when climbing or backpacking. |

American Eagle stretch jeans. I have the zions and a few pairs of gramicci's but those AE jeans are the most comfortable and hold up pretty well. found a pair at the thrift store and they seemed super stretchy so I got them and haven't looked back, even picked up a second pair. there pretty cheap, look good and are stretchier than any thing I've ever worn (and I use to rock the girl jeans in my punk days) may not have the name like prana, Patagonia, gramitcci, or Eddie Bauer but I love them |

Best Climbing pants were 1995 version of REI Spider Climbing Pants, still have a few pairs in perfect condition. One pair has been up several walls with no damage. Tough as nails. |
