Not sure if this is the right forum but didn't know where else it would go. favorite climbing partner just bought her first house. Need ideas for a clever, climbing themed housewarming gift. Any help is appreciated.

The guy who makes carabiner coat racks is on this site somewhere.

You can find drinking glasses that have 14thousand foot peaks in them.

A used hang board.

Rope made floor mat.

That’s all I can think of for now...

yeah either this or a rope mat for climbing themed gifts. And if they're gentiles then they might like those nut ornaments

When one of our friends bought their first house we had the same idea - climbing themed house warming gift. After some subtle conversations with them trying to figure out something without letting on what we were thinking about, we eventually bought them.....a really nice convection toaster oven! It was something they really wanted and needed. It was greatly appreciated. Something to consider.

Good luck. I hope you two are very happy together. You had her at "housewarming gift."

This place is hers. Just cut to the chase, and get a generous Lowe's/Home Depot/Target card, plus, if she drinks coffee, a big travel mug and a coffee punch card from wherever is closest.

Or, offer to help paint the place, prowl second hand joints for furniture with her, that sort of thing. Spending time with your friend, doing stuff toward making the place home.

Best, Helen

trying to think of ideas others haven't said... local guide books for the shelf, coffee table books about climbing or mountaineering.

I will be getting a gift card as well. Just wanted something fun in addition. We live in different states, so spending time doing those things is not likely. Hard enough to get time off to meet at various climbing areas!

Lol..not sure where you're going with this, but no, no sprinter. Neither of us is the #vanlife type. Jobs and bills and such...

Housewarming gift for a single lady, with no kids, not involved, not in a relationship...

Slim Shady is right. Booze as a housewarming gift is the answer.

If he is still at it, a smallish one of these would be very nice. Easy to have it go with various colors and such.

A matted and framed photo of a climbing memory you share could be nice, if she doesn’t have a bunch of artwork already. Either your own image or a commercial image of a climbing area you both love. Art is usually pretty low down on a new homeowners list to buy for themselves, because it is a “luxury”.
