Does anyone know of a company that makes kids sized crampons? My son is 5 now and it’s be nice to start taking him on some easy snow terrain, but I can’t seem to find any crampons that would fit his small boots.
I saw a photo once upon a time of someone who used just the front part of a hinged, old-school crampon on their kid's boots. There's a pair of Salewas on EBay now.

In the past I've used hose clamps since the front is kind of all that matters.
What kind of boots are you using? I’ve seen kids in that age range wearing down hill ski boots and pro clip crampons set to smallest size. I think that they were an older cyborg model. Another person I talked to was considering making plate to attach to bottom of the boot to size it better for crampons.
Right now he has the adidas kids high top gortex hiking boots, but I was going to look for something a little more resistant to the elements. Salewa make a jr mountaineering boot pretty cheap.
