Spot in Bend for Tiny House.

Howdy. So my gf and I have a super sick hipster tiny house, currently in Portland. We’re tired of it here and are looking to move on down to the Bend area. Anyone on here have/ know of someone with space that wants to make some extra income? House is 24’ long and only needs a hose and power hookup. We both work in medicine and spend most of our off days climbing/skiing.

Does it have a sewage line? Confused about going to the bathroom

I'll be in Bend visiting friends next weekend and will put a feeler out for you.

Did you build this yourself, or have someone in town do it for you?  Would love to pick your brain a bit about it.

Bend doesn't allow tiny homes.

"City code doesn’t allow most tiny homes. An exception is Bend’s cottage code, created in 2015, which allows homes with no minimum size but only in clusters. The code requires at least four but no more than 12 homes in a cluster around shared open space. Cottages wouldn’t be allowed on the Bryants’ property, which is zoned for low-density residential development. Unless they’re in RV parks and intended for temporary stays, tiny houses in Bend are required to have foundations. That means homes like the Bryants’ that can be transported on wheels don’t fit the code."

Paul- I did build most of it, with a bit of help from a contractor. (Framing and welding.) Heating/shower/stove all run on propane with a tankless waterheater.

Nate- Thanks for the info, i just stumbled upon that article this morning aswell. I’ll have to think of something. Perhaps far outside of city limits.

12 cottages clustered around a shared open space in Bend? Sign me up!

On a similar note I'm looking in the Bend/Redmond area for anyone with property who would rent me space to live in my tent this spring and summer.
