I tend to do a lot of my "reading" listening to audiobooks while training and love to listen to mountaineering/climbing books, but am starting to run out. So the recent revival of another book recommendation thread gave me the idea to ask what climbing/mountaineering related books have audio versions that people have enjoyed.
My list so far (in no particular order):
Alone on the Wall - Alex Honnold, David Roberts
The Push - Tommy Caldwell
Beyond the Mountain - Steve House
The Calling: A Life Rocked by Mountains - Barry Blanchard
K2: Life and Death on the World's Most Dangerous Mountain - Ed Viesturs, David Roberts
The Will to Climb - David Roberts, Ed Viesturs
No Shortcuts to the Top: Climbing the World's 14 Highest Peaks - Ed Viesturs, David Roberts
Alone on the Ice: The Greatest Survival Story in the History of Exploration - David Roberts
Denali's Howl: The Deadliest Climbing Disaster on America's Wildest Peak - Andy Hall
Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster - Jon Krakauer
Eiger Dreams: Ventures Among Men and Mountains - Jon Krakauer
... and I just now realized putting this list together how much David Roberts I've listened to. Looks like he's got some more books in audio format I might try out next.
Well I popped in to drop recommendations but you already got the ones I was going to suggest!
Not directly related to climbing but maybe check out “The Rise of The Super Human” by Steven Kotler. There is a pretty cool chapter in there about the pyschological approach Dean Potter took to climbing and life.
