I recently had a chance try a pair of mammut Nordwands at the mammut store in Chamonix and they seemed to fit my feet exceptionally well. However, reviews on these boots are hard to come by. I was originally looking at the G2sm but these are a couple hundred bucks cheaper and I've heard the nightmare stories of the g2 not being water proof. Any MP users have any experience or thoughts with the mammut boots?

I am also interested in these boots and would love to hear first-hand feedback on them.
Blake, how did you find the sizing, relative to other common boots and/or your street shoe size?

In my street shoe, depending on brand I normally wear an 8-8.5. I've got a pair of scarpa mont blanc pros in size 42 that I use for ice and mountaineering. I thought I wanted another 42 but tried on a 42 2/3 (UK 8.5) and was surprised at how adjustable they were. I could make them comfortable with both thin socks and beefy socks. They were easy to walk for a double boot without heel lift or pinch points and didn't feel overly clunky. The Nordwands seem to be a wider last like the Scarpa and were for me incredibly comfortable. I almost pulled the trigger but without finding reviews it was tough to justify.

I just ordered a pair of these for an attempt on Rainier in May 2020 (via Kautz), I'll report back how they do. Boot should be in in a week or so so I can report then on sizing/first impressions.

I haven't gotten much use in them yet but they're comfortable. All the insulation is in the inner boot which is pretty nice just for the convenience of easily fitting down camp booties in the shell to walk around. It also makes them easy to dry because all you need to dry are the inner boots.

Just got my in the mail, initial impressions are very positive - seems like good construction and very warm, and surprisingly flexible and walkable for how much boot there is. I'll do a few training hikes in them and see, and then give them the true shakedown in 6 months on Rainier

I just got a pair, seems like they fit me pretty well but the liner could use some adjusting...anyone know if they are heat moldable??

I have a pair of the Nordwand LTs, the previous version, and I love them. I currently own Mountaineering boots from Scarpa, La Sportiva, Lowa, and Vasque, and my Nordwands are my go to boots for cold weather ice climbing. I personally find them a bit to warm for Rainier and tend wear my vasques for "milder" weather mountains. Again, this is for the previous version of the Nordwands, not the 2.1s, but maybe it'll help.

They feel like a very technical / agile 7000m boot, they feel warmer than my G2s and a but bulkier but I feel I could climb just as well in them.

I have a Mammut Nordwand 2.1 and I used them on the Toubkal (4167m) in December 2019. They are very comfortable boots, at this altitude, they are very hot, and the BOA system works very well. Would you like to use them for Denali in May, are they hot enough for Denali temperatures?
