Any reason not to go the last week in April 2019?

Hi Everyone, |

The rendezvous is in March, don't know of anything else. We vacationed here a few years ago mid/late April. It was perfect weather for the first half, started to warm by the end of the trip (to the point we skipped climbing the last day). April and especially May are transition times for the area. It won't be 100F but it can still get into the 90s. April 2018 high temps ranged from 66F to 96F. Guess I'm saying there's a bit of risk if 90+F is too warm for you. |

The RRR Facebook page confirmed in November that the event will not be held in 2019 - good news for us locals. They’re going to try to bring it back in 2020. |

Well shit, was kinda looking forward to going to at least one of them (only recently moved here). Not sure why it's bad for locals, it's only for a few days(?). |

I went my first year out here - wasn’t impressed. It’s an event designed for out-of-towners. It just brings way too many people into the area. The weekend of the event count on the only climbing options being deeper into the canyons - most sport / cragging options will be used by the clinics. Most locals skip town that weekend and head elsewhere. |
