Sleeping bag help me choose Rab expedition 1000 or western mountaineering puma gws?

So im looking at these sleeping bags ... im more inclined to get the rab due to treated down. I know wm are amazing but I'm afraid that the high humidity 60 -80%) where I will be most of the winter will affect loft.

Both have amazing reviews. Rab compresses better, treated down, good inner and outer fabrics. WM, it's known for their quality, the loft on the puma is amazing.

I'll use, for sleeping with and without shelter, ski touring, alpine and mountaineering in Quebec, Alberta, white plains and NE states.

Any input will be greatly appreciated it.

Txs!

I'd get the WM in microfiber. Add a bivy bag when needed.

That said Rab is on sale at Backcountry and I'm sure it doesn't suck.

Hey guys!  I am in the same conundrum.  I'm trying to decide between the Rab Expedition 1200 and the WM Puma.  I can get the Rab for $600 and the WM Puma for $1050 but with $225 back in store credit....what would you do?

Buy the Western Mountaineering bag.  Period.

If the zipper on the RAB is as bad as their jackets...I own a WM and I tell people it’s the first thing I would grab if my house was on fire

I love Western Mountaineering stuff, BUT will never buy a non-waterproof treated/down product again.   Never.

I do not agree with them but WM says this about that in regards to: "Why isn’t Western Mountaineering using hydrophobic down in any products?"

"We have found in our own testing that the performance enhancements of hydrophobic treatments on high quality down are widely overstated. High quality untreated down already has naturally water repellant oils on it left by the geese (makes sense since geese spend a lot of time in water). These oils help repel water and keep down lofted. More importantly is that these oils last indefinitely. Hydrophobic treatments wash out like a DWR and remove the natural oils during the application process. Because of this, and the water resistant capability of our shell fabrics, we feel that hydrophobic down does not provide a considerable impact on performance and could actually inhibit performance over the lifetime of our products."

Appreciate all the feedback everyone.  I ended up going with the WM in GWS as it was in stock and received $315 store credit back at Moosejaw.  Will report any issues I have with it...but it's a nice comfy, LOFTY bag.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
