Hi, I found a new pair of these ( garmont.com/en/products/mou…) for sale for $399 NZD, approx $270 USD. Opinions? Will be using them for general mountaineering in New Zealand. Cheers.

Do they fit well?

Yeah, tried them on and they fit pretty well, not much heel lift and no tight spots

Awesome to see another kiwi! I have these boots and a bunch of my friends too. They're good, fairly light and warm. Only downside is that they don't have a super thick tread, so it wears out faster than something like a Nepal Evo. I've had mine for 3 years and the toe is wearing through to plastic which is starting to make rock feel a little more dicey. Wear approach shoes as much as you can.

That's a really good price, I got mine for $520 nzd.

I should also mention that I found them a bit lacking in shock absorbtion while walking, so I run them with two insoles, which works nice. Might affect sizing if you do that. May also not be an issue for you if you're less of a wuss

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
