Not sure where else to put this, but I ordered some stuff from Backcountry through Active Junky to get the 7% back, and I'm wondering if anyone has gotten a payment through PayPal from them.

Does PayPal charge the 3% fee when receiving payments like it does for eBay? I'd rather get a check if that's the case. But PayPal is more convenient so if they don't charge it that would be cool.

Yes. The AJ money appears pretty much the instant Backcountry charges your account. Paypal doesn't charge you a commish on the incoming AJ money as far as I can tell.

Be careful not to use any ad-blockers when using active junky, it'll mess with their tracking and you might no receive any payment.

No PayPal fees. And your ActiveJunky account will accumulate funds and then send them to your PayPal every 3 months.

The Active Junky Purchase and Click History is an interesting resource. Looking at mine I realize that I've only gotten credited from Backcountry.com and never from Moosejaw or Sierra Trading Post. Good to know. I wonder what's screwing up those other referals?

^If you use a sale coupon (discount), it usually overrides the commission code.

I've been able to contact them when certain purchases didn't go through (due to my ad-blocker as mentioned) and they eventually credited me.

I've been able to use coupon codes with the Active Junky discount, but it can be a bit finicky. Usually what I'll do is shop and add things to the cart with the coupon code. Then I'll go to the Active Junky site and click to the site through there, at which point the items will still be saved in the cart with the coupon discount. I haven't thought about the ad-blocker thing too, I should make sure I'm aware of that in the future.

I do this as well and have not had an issue with AJ not recognizing my STP purchase when using a discount code.

Not if you have them deposit directly into your Paypal. Then it comes to you almost immediately.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
