Both AF and Maple have great free camping if you just drive up to the top of the canyon. BCC and LCC, I don't know of any good free camping in either unless you hike a ways.
Depending on what the next storm dose, climbing might be done for the season in BCC, LCC, and AF. Camping is as follows for the named areas, and most campgrounds close(d) in Oct. BCC and LCC - no free camping. I suggest parking your van at a near by hospital or Walmart parking lot for over night if you want free. American Fork - free above Tibble fork reservoir, might be snowy/closed. Maple Canyon - Camping at the base of the canyon, $5 a night? Free either, above the canyon 4x4 req', or 30 min north in log canyon.

4x4 definitely not required at the top of maple canyon, I've camped there multiple times in a 2wd minivan without much clearance.
