See title.

Only in town for a couple days. Got my shoes and I want to boulder.

What is the best gym?

I've been to Epic and to Hoosier Heights. Both have decent bouldering areas, though HH is bit bigger, and has the added wow-factor of the Snake:

They also have a Ninja Warrior training area with various obstacles, if that's your thing.

LOL holy shit I was going to ask why it is called the snake and then I saw the fangs and the eyes. That is too fucking funny.

I think I was leaning towards HH anyway since its a bit closer to where I'm staying.

Thanks for the reply!

HH has godawful setting. I have friends that set at Epic. It's the best game in town. There's a new sick bouldering gym coming next spring

Never been to Epic, but Hoosier Heights is better than Climb Time.

That's good to know. I was there with my sons for USAC regionals in June, so I didn't actually get to climb there. (And the setting for the comp seemed solid, but they likely had numerous outside setters.)

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up at HH. The setting wasn't stellar but I'm not sure I'm qualified enough to call it "god awful".

I am a V4-V6 climber and there was enough stuff to keep me busy. I did not see very many routes in the upper V8-V10 range. So, if you climb that hard then I could see why you would say the setting is lacking.

HH seemed more geared towards family fun. The snake was kinda cool. I tried the V5 on it but didn't get real far.

They said if you jumped off the top you got a lifetime ban. I was honestly considering it just for the fuck of it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
