Dislocated elbow on a bad bouldering fall. On the mend but thought y'all would enjoy the X-ray.

Yikes... my elbow felt a twinge of pain looking at that. What happened exactly, what's the extent of the soft tissue injuries, and what does the recovery timeline look like?

Hope you recover well

I'm not a radiologist but I think your elbow might be dislocated....

Gnarly dude! Wish I still had the x-ray from when I broke my Ulna and Radius in half, my forearm was “S” shaped.

Horizontal dyno finishes to a sloper/pseudojug at the lip of the cave. Caught it but lost friction as my legs swung sideways so I fell while rotating and my arm ended up straight underneath me. Bad form I know but it all happened so quick I couldn't have helped it

THAT SUCKS

I had the same injury, x-ray, and method of injury.  I was climbing 25% again in about 4 weeks, 75% in 6, and nearly 1 year before I felt comfortable really cranking on that arm. PT was not very helpful after the first visit. After a week just keep trying to straighten with your other arm as pain allows...a little suffering is good for us. Acupuncture and E-Stem seemed to speed up my recovery. I chose a more natural  option over the prescribed narcotics for pain relief but you do you.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
