Perhaps this is somewhat a stretch for a climbing site, but I figured there are lots of interesting folks on here that may enjoy multiple sports.
Description: This is a 6 weight Temple Fork Outfitters IM6 Lefty Kreh Signature Series I two-piece graphite fly rod, 9'-0" in length, and it comes with an STH reel (see below). My first fly rod ever, purchased in fall 2003 in Ithaca, New York while I was in my freshman year of college. This thing has landed lots of trout, landlocked salmon, bass, and carp all over the country. It is in great condition overall, with one exception: the tip top guide is missing (see pic). This is an easy fix, either completed yourself or by taking it to a fly shop. I have a Cabela’s rod sock that accompanies this rod for storage purposes. This is an excellent rod, and I would keep it if I fished as much as I used to, but I am downsizing to a single 5 weight (also by Temple Fork Outfitters, as I love those rods!). Also, this rod comes with a STH Mr. Pop 2 reel. This was my first reel and it is sweet. The drag is very nice and the reel is a perfect fit for this 6 weight road. The reel is loaded with backing, a green weight-forward 6 weight floating line, and a short piece of monofilament with a loop for easy attachment of leaders. This reel uses a “cassette” system for loading each fly line such that you can easily swap in different lines very quickly (see pics). You simply slide the cassette onto the spool and you are ready to go. I had a spare cassette/spool at some point, but I cannot locate it. They are easy enough to find cheaply online though. I also have the original blue cloth reel carrying case (see pics). Fix the tip top guide and this setup will be ready to rock!
Price: Asking $100 plus shipping for the 6 weight setup. I say plus shipping since this awkward shape and it is difficult to gauge cost. I would greatly prefer to sell everything together.
