I just bought a used pair of Boulder X Mid approach shoes in what should be my shoe size (40) for reference I wear a 40.5 in Nepal Evos

When I put the shoe on, the Achilles area feels really tight with a lot of pressure... is this normal for this shoe? It feels like I have space at the toes but I can’t walk with the shoes because of the pressure.

Thanks in advance

I think I remember mine were tight on the heel at first. might have to do with the lacing system (which runs around the back of the heel), and the overall rigidity. I've had mine for 3 or 4 years now and they're still great shoes

Are they still making these? I havent seen them for a while. Its a shame, pretty much no choices for a mid-approach shoe these days.

I bought a La Sportiva Boulder X Mid half size bigger and it stretched out. However, two weeks ago I bought the low cut one, also half size bigger and it didn’t stretched out yet
