Visiting some family in CO(Denver and Elizabeth areas) and bringing our sport climbing gear. Any tips on must climb spots for beginners to outside sport lead? (5:9-5:11)

Thanks!

Clear Creek Canyon or Table Mountain would be your best bets. I hesitate to suggest beginner areas, as they will be mobbed, but of course you have Canal Zone and East Colfax in Clear Creek. Table will be in sun, so only go early or on a colder day. It's been a while since I have gone there, so peruse the database for particular climbs. It's more spread out there and more routes packed in to the cliff, so easier to hop on adjacent routes. Many Clear Creek crags have just a handful of routes.

Don't go to Table mountain if you are here visiting. Clear creek or Boulder Canyon would be fine. Just use the search on MP for some ideas.

Since you are out in Elizabeth Castlewood Canyon is very close. Pay attention for rattlesnakes and dont bring a dog tho

Also don't go to Castle wood canyon... People from Denver would not even drive down to climb there.

He asked for "must climb spots".

Rifle. Start there and anything you'll ever do after will be a cake walk!

Devils head, The Training ground or Unicorn valley.

Use the route finder, with the above settings. Start at the top with Little Eiger, High Wire, Wall of the 90’s...

And if in Elizabeth, Castlewood will be very close and worth checking out.  Although more TR than sport.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
