Just what every dispersed camping area needs. Portable condominiums and generators running all night.
I’ve had a motor home up in the Hardscrabble mountains south of Eagle. That might work for you, although do some research. Accessing from Gypsum was a little tight, going from Eagle might work better for your rig.
1 ton truck - $65,000 37' 5th wheel - $35,000 running a generator all night in the wilderness to power AC (then heat), satellite TV and charge iphone to "get away" - priceless
Just kidding, don't mean to give you a hard time. I live in the area, so I'll give you my favorite local spots: either the Four Seasons Vail or Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
Sorry, I was a jerk this morning. 80% of Eagle County is public lands, there are lots of beautiful free backcountry camping but it is very diverse. Are you planning to climb? That can help narrow the choice. I have a well-worn Colorado Gazetteer. It actually has great topographical detail, shows all the backcountry roads of every level (gravel forest service roads down to mtb or hiking singletrack). The yellow areas are BLM - seek these out!
